What can I expect on my first visit?
On your first visit you will be greeted by our friend Chiropractic Assistants and asked to complete our intake form. This form gives your chiropractor great insight into your current condition and health history. Your chiropractor will then take you through a thorough clinical history, a comprehensive physical, neurological and postural examination. X-rays may be required, which we can perform at specific clinics. From there your chiropractor will give you a full explanation of their findings and if clinically indicated you will receive a management plan and start with your care plan on that day.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
As chiropractors are primary health care providers you do not need a referral. To make an appointment you can simply give our team a call on 0161 6287 319
What problems can chiropractic help with?
Chiropractic helps correct any misalignments to allow your body to work better. Typically, the most common problems we see are back pain, neck pain, back stiffness, headaches, migraines, and posture problems. We find that more people are coming in for general back checks and spinal assessments.
Is chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic has an excellent safety record. Not only is chiropractic a treatment of choice for mechanical lower back pain, scientific research demonstrates it to be effective. Unlike medication and surgery, chiropractic assists the body to heal itself rather than just treating the symptoms.
How often will I need to see the chiropractor?
This will vary with each person, depending on how long you have had the problem, your previous health history, any trauma or accidents and many other factors. After your chiropractor has done an assessment to see if chiropractic may be able to help you, they will be able to tell you how frequently you need to have care.
Do I need X-rays?
This can only be determined on an individual basis by the practitioner. If x-rays are required, they can be performed in specific clinics and reported on by a Radiologists.
